Neues Album "Live Free" von Michael Lane
Der Deutsch-Amerikanische SingerSongwriter Michael Lane hat sein neues Album "Live Free" rausgebracht.
Michael Lane, der in Deutschland geboren wurde, kennt auch die wirklich schwierigen Zeiten, in seinen Zwanzigern wurde er als US-Soldat in den Irak und nach Afghanistan geschickt und sah dort viel Grausames. Seine bisherigen Alben waren wie ein musikalsiches Tagebuch dieser Erfahrungen.

Wie der Titel "Live Free" schon erahnen lässt, haben inzwischen aber wieder Freude und Leichtigkeit Platz im Leben von Michael Lane gefunden. So ist die hoffnungsvolle Botschaft des Albums, dass auch Krisen und Phasen der Selbstreflektion uns wieder näher zu den wichtigen Dingen führen können.
Es geht auf dem Folk/Pop-Album darum, dass Leben mit all seinen Höhen und Tiefen anzunehmen. Michael Lane singt von Liebe ("Our Love"), Freiheit, Selbstakzeptanz, Wachstum, Vergebung und davon, Frieden mit der eigenen Unvollkommenheit zu schließen.
Der Song "The Middle" erzählt von der Liebe zwischen zwei ganz unterschiedlichen Menschen.

Mit dem Satz "Sometimes I need a break from everything..." geht es auch im Titeltrack "Live Free" weiter. Michael Lane will frei sein und noch so viel in der Welt sehen.
In "Blind" singt er davon, blind für die schönen Dinge zu sein.
"... I'm blind in this painted life,
Lost in the shades of black and white.
Looking for answers that I can't find,
These broken moments left behind..."
Wenn er von "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" singt, meint er damit die Natur, die uns erdet und wie er singt, seine Seele reinigt. In "Don't Hold Back" singt er davon, Gefühle nicht zurück zu halten.
Im Song "Broke My Heart" singt Michael Lane nach eigenen Aussagen von der Zeit nach dem Herzschmerz, doch man kann den Song auch als Trauer-Lied interpretieren.

Der letzte Song fasst den Inhalt des Albums, dass nach Krisen auch wieder gute Zeiten kommen, gut zusammen. Er handelt von einem Haustier, dass nach vielen Besitzern endlich ein gutes, liebevolles Zuhause gefunden hat.
